Play Legends Online

Legends throws you through time—one minute you're slashing as a knight, next you're blasting UFOs as a kid, all while aliens treat Earth like their twisted game show. The weapons feel janky in that classic DOS way, but swapping between eras never gets old.

Game Overview

Legends came out in 1996 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, published by Guildhall Leisure Services Ltd. It was one of those late-era DOS titles that tried to blend action and adventure just as Windows was taking over. The game doesn't try to hide its old-school roots; it leans into them with pixelated graphics and a straightforward, no-frills approach.

You control a hero who travels through different time periods, from medieval castles to futuristic alien ships. Your main goal is to defeat enemies and solve simple puzzles across screen-by-screen levels. You use a sword for close combat and occasionally pick up other weapons, like a bow, to handle foes from a distance. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty can be unforgiving, with limited health and frequent enemy attacks. It feels like a condensed, sometimes clumsy, but earnest attempt at adventure.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
