Play Legend of Zelda - Spirit Tracks (EU) Online

Link drives a train this time—you plot routes, dodge enemy locomotives, and solve puzzles while Zelda’s ghost helps by possessing armor. The flute controls are janky, but the whole thing’s oddly charming.

Game Overview

Okay, so Spirit Tracks is that Zelda game where Link drives a train—which sounds ridiculous until you actually play it and realize it somehow works perfectly. You’ve got your usual dungeons and puzzles, but now you’re laying down tracks between towns, dodging enemy trains, and occasionally panicking when you realize you took a wrong turn three minutes ago.

The touchscreen controls take some getting used to (drawing circles to spin your boomerang still feels weird), but blowing into the mic to play the Spirit Flute is either charming or infuriating depending on how well your DS microphone works. Also, Zelda’s a ghost who possesses suits of armor to help in combat, which is way cooler than it has any right to be.

It’s not the most polished Zelda game, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about watching your little train chug across the map while that jaunty soundtrack plays.
