Game Overview

So The Legend of Kage is this old-school NES ninja game where you're basically a one-man rescue squad. You play as Kage, some kind of gravity-defying ninja who jumps like he's got springs in his shoes, swinging a sword and tossing shuriken at waves of enemies. Your mission? Save Princess Kiri from this warlord dude Yoshi—classic 80s video game logic.

What's cool is how you move through these repeating levels (forest, castle moat, etc.) that change with the seasons. One minute you're climbing trees in autumn, next you're fighting on snowy rooftops. The controls take some getting used to—Kage jumps way higher than you'd expect, and yeah, one hit kills you, so no room for mistakes. There's a second player option, but it's that annoying take-turns thing. Still, there's something satisfying about nailing those ridiculous aerial sword slashes once you get the timing down.
