Letter Targets was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a compilation of simple titles from the early PC gaming era. It was a straightforward typing game, the kind of program you might have found on a shareware disk or bundled with other utilities, designed to test and improve your keyboard skills without any pretense.
You control nothing but your own fingers, watching as letters descend from the top of the screen. Your only job is to press the corresponding key before each one reaches the bottom and vanishes. The pace starts slow but steadily increases, demanding quicker recognition and reflexes. Missing too many letters ends the game, creating a tense race against the clock. It feels like a focused, almost meditative exercise in speed and accuracy under pressure.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
