Play Line of Fire Online
You're blasting through enemy lines in a jump-capable jeep, steering missiles mid-flight to take out weird floating targets while the screen relentlessly pushes you forward. That awkward forced-scroll feeling? Turns into pure tension once you're dodging bullets and rationing rockets.

Game Overview
Line of Fire for the Sega Master System is one of those weirdly specific action games that somehow sticks with you. You play as Jack, some guy who stole a secret weapon from an enemy base—now he’s tearing through six levels in an armored jeep while soldiers chase him down. The top-down view keeps scrolling upward whether you like it or not, and your jeep’s stuck in the bottom two-thirds of the screen, which feels awkward at first until you realize it’s the whole point.
You’ve got unlimited bullets, but the real fun’s in the 50 missiles per mission—some targets (like those floating… whatever-they-are) only go down with a well-placed rocket. The aftertouch mechanic lets you nudge missiles mid-flight, which is oddly satisfying once you get the hang of it. Also, your jeep can jump. Because of course it can. Rivers, gaps, random factory debris—you’ll be hopping over everything while dodging bullets.
It’s not easy, but the three difficulty levels and multiple hits per life keep it from feeling cheap. Just don’t get stuck behind obstacles, or boom—instant explosion. The factory and jungle settings mix things up enough to keep you paying attention. It’s janky in that classic 8-bit way, but there’s something weirdly addictive about guiding missiles through chaos.
