Game Overview

Low Blow was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a release that bundled various titles without a specific number. Developed by Rainbow Arts, it was a straightforward fighting game from an era when local multiplayer often meant crowding around a single keyboard. It didn't try to reinvent the genre; it was just another brawler vying for attention on the platform.

You control a blocky, vaguely humanoid fighter, moving left and right across a single screen to punch and kick your opponent. The main objective is to deplete the other fighter's health bar before they deplete yours. Signature mechanics include a simple three-button attack system (jab, strong punch, kick) and the ability to throw your opponent after a successful grapple. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty spikes sharply, especially against the computer. It feels like a chaotic, clumsy scrap where victory often comes from frantic button mashing more than skill.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
