Game Overview
Lufia & The Fortress of Doom starts with a classic RPG setup—Maxim and his crew already saved the world from the Sinistrals a century ago, and now everything’s gone to hell again. You play as some poor descendant of the original hero, stuck cleaning up the mess with your childhood friend Lufia (who, let’s be honest, is way more interesting than you).
The battles are your standard SNES-era turn-based stuff—pick attacks, heal when you’re nearly dead, grind a little too much in that one forest area. But the dungeons? Those are the real stars. You’ll push blocks, flip switches, and occasionally stare at the screen wondering how the hell you’re supposed to reach that chest. It’s got that satisfying mix of combat and puzzles that makes you feel smart when you finally figure it out.
Also, the music slaps. Just saying.
