Game Overview

Plutonia 2 is basically the unofficial, fan-made follow-up to The Plutonia Experiment—you know, that brutal Doom II WAD that kicked everyone’s butt back in the day. It took eight years to finish, and honestly, it shows in the level design. The maps are mean in that classic Plutonia way: tight corridors, ambushes you don’t see coming, and just enough ammo to make you sweat.

The soundtrack’s a mix of new stuff and some old Doom tracks, plus a random Duke Nukem 3D track thrown in for fun. The new music fits surprisingly well—some of it’s atmospheric, some of it’s straight-up panic fuel when the monsters start pouring in. If you liked the original Plutonia’s no-mercy approach, this feels like more of the same, but with a few fresh twists to keep you on your toes. Just don’t expect a walk in the park.
