Game Overview

Lure of the Temptress came out in 1992 for MS-DOS, developed by Revolution Software. It was part of that wave of early '90s point-and-click adventures, where story and puzzles took center stage over action. The game had a distinct look and feel, with hand-drawn backgrounds and a dark fantasy setting that stood out even then.

You control Diermot, a young soldier trying to rescue his kidnapped love from a sinister force. The gameplay revolves around exploring the world screen by screen, collecting items, and talking to a cast of eccentric characters to uncover clues. Interaction is handled through a verb coin interface, where you select actions like push, pull, or talk to solve environmental puzzles and advance the plot. The pacing is deliberate, sometimes slow, as you figure out what combination of items and dialogue will open the next path. It feels like slowly untangling a knot, where every small discovery brings you closer to the heart of the mystery.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
