Play Magic Knight Rayearth Online
Three Tokyo girls get tossed into a fantasy world, swinging swords and solving dungeon puzzles between turn-based fights—feels like playing a lost '90s anime episode.

Magic Knight Rayearth came out on the Super Nintendo in 1995, developed by Pandora Box and published by Tomy. It was part of that wave of mid-90s JRPGs that tried to blend traditional mechanics with an anime presentation, standing alongside other story-heavy adventures on the platform.
You control Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu, three girls summoned to save the world of Cephiro. The game plays out across an overworld map and numerous dungeons, where you explore screen by screen, solve environmental puzzles, and engage in turn-based combat. A key mechanic is switching between the three heroines on the fly, as each has a unique weapon and elemental magic that is required to overcome specific obstacles. The pacing is deliberate, with a fair amount of backtracking and a difficulty that can spike during boss encounters. It feels like guiding a party of friends through a dangerous, hand-drawn storybook.
