Game Overview
Mario Brother 1 is one of those deceptively simple Flash games that looks easy until you actually play it. You just run, jump, and try not to die—sounds straightforward, right? Nope. The first time I played, I lost count of how many times I got wrecked by what should’ve been an easy jump or an enemy that somehow clipped me from three pixels away. (Seriously, do these guys have invisible hitboxes or something?)
There’s only one level, but it’s packed with enough cheap deaths to make you question your reflexes. The castle at the end taunts you the whole time—I finally reached it after what felt like a thousand attempts, and let me tell you, the victory screen is basically a participation trophy for your sanity. If you’re into masochistic little time-wasters, this one’s a classic.
