Game Overview
Mario & Luigi: Bowser’s Inside Story is one of those weird, brilliant DS RPGs where you spend half the game inside Bowser’s body—literally. You’ll jump between controlling Mario and Luigi (who are tiny, running around his organs) and playing as Bowser himself, smashing through obstacles in the overworld. The combat’s got that satisfying Mario RPG timing mechanic, but the real fun is the bizarre scenarios, like making Bowser inhale enemies so the bros can fight them in his gut.
It’s got that classic Mario & Luigi humor too—expect goofy dialogue, ridiculous power-ups (Luigi gets a mustache-based upgrade at one point), and some genuinely creative boss fights. The dual gameplay keeps things from getting stale, and the sprite work still holds up. If you missed this back in the DS days, it’s a gem worth digging up.
