Game Overview
Mario & Luigi RPG 3!!! is one of those DS games that just oozes charm from the start. You’re immediately thrown into this goofy, colorful world where the brothers team up—literally—to jump, hammer, and dodge their way through turn-based battles that actually feel active. The timing-based attacks keep fights from getting stale, and the writing’s full of that classic Nintendo humor (Bowser’s especially ridiculous here).
What really stuck with me was how the puzzles blend into exploration—you’ll be switching between Mario and Luigi on the fly, using their different abilities to unlock paths or trigger hidden stuff. It’s got that perfect balance of being easy to pick up but surprisingly deep if you dig into the mechanics. The sprite work still holds up, too—everything’s so expressive, even on the small screen.
If you’ve ever liked an RPG but wished it had more personality, this one’s a no-brainer.
