Marvel Nemesis on PSP is basically a stripped-down, portable version of the console brawler—no story mode here, just straight-up superhero (and villain) fights. You pick either the Marvel heroes or EA’s weird original characters (the "Imperfects") and battle through a campaign to unlock more fighters. Starts slow—you’re stuck with The Thing or Johnny Ohm at first—but beating stages opens up guys like Spider-Man or Dr. Doom, which helps keep it from feeling repetitive.

The fighting itself is simple but satisfying: punch, throw, block, and trigger super moves with shoulder buttons. Arenas are destructible, so you’re constantly smashing walls or hurling debris. What makes it stand out is the card system—after each fight, you pick a random card that tweaks stats like health or attack power. Some are character-specific, others give universal boosts, and you can even trade duplicates for new ones. It’s a neat little meta-game that adds some strategy between matches.

No online play, but you can battle friends locally if you’ve both got a PSP. Honestly, it’s not the deepest fighter out there, but there’s something fun about watching Wolverine uppercut a teleporting cyborg through a crumbling skyscraper.
