Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects came out for the PlayStation Portable in 2005, developed by Page 44 Studios and published by Electronic Arts. It was part of that early wave of PSP games trying to bring console style brawlers to a handheld, with mixed results but plenty of ambition for its time.

You pick from a roster of Marvel heroes like Spider-Man or Wolverine, or one of the original "Imperfect" characters, and battle through a series of one on one or two on two fights. The main goal is to beat your opponent's health down while using the environment; you can throw cars, smash walls, or use objects as weapons. Between matches, you collect and equip ability cards that modify your stats or grant new moves, which adds a light strategic layer. The pace is fast and a little chaotic, with the camera sometimes struggling to keep up during intense moments. It feels like a portable arcade brawler that's rough around the edges but still delivers some straightforward fun.
