Game Overview

Master Ninja - Shadow Warrior of Death is one of those MS-DOS games that makes you question your reflexes within the first five minutes. You start off in some dark, moody temple, and immediately realize this isn’t just about slashing enemies—it’s about not dying to the floor spikes you didn’t even see coming. The controls are sharp, but so is everything else trying to kill you.

What I love is how it doesn’t hold your hand. Miss a jump? Back to the start. Swing your sword a second too late? Enjoy the game-over screen. But that’s the charm—it’s brutal in a way that makes finally clearing a level feel like an actual achievement. The pixel art has this gritty, shadow-drenched style that somehow makes falling into yet another pit slightly less frustrating.

If you’ve got a soft spot for games where every mistake is your own fault (and a keyboard you don’t mind mashing), this one’s a solid time capsule from the era of "git gud" design.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
