Play Math Blaster Online
Pilot your spaceship, blast math problems, dodge enemies, and solve equations in themed levels while leveling up your skills in Math Blaster on SNES.
I picked up Math Blaster for the Super Nintendo back in 1994, a release from Davidson & Associates. It was one of those educational titles that tried to blend learning with action, something you saw more of on home consoles as they became common in living rooms. It didn't try to hide its purpose, but it wrapped the lessons in a space theme that made it more appealing than a textbook.
You control a small spaceship, moving it around the screen to shoot down equations and avoid enemies. The main goal is to solve math problems by blasting the correct answer from a list of options floating in space. You navigate through different themed levels, each with its own hazards and enemy types that try to disrupt your aim. The pacing is steady; it starts simple with addition and subtraction but quickly introduces multiplication and division under pressure. It feels satisfying when you clear a wave quickly, and frustrating when you miss and have to dodge while recalculating.
