Play Matterhorn Screamer Online
You’re Goofy flailing down the Matterhorn, barely dodging rocks and yetis while that trademark yell echoes every time you eat snow. The janky controls make every near-miss feel like a miracle.
Matterhorn Screamer was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, though I don't recall the developer or publisher offhand. It was one of those simple, straightforward titles from the early PC gaming era, built for quick sessions rather than deep storytelling.
You control a skier, presumably Goofy, navigating a treacherous descent down the mountain. Your main objective is to avoid obstacles like rocks, trees, and yetis while staying on course. The game uses screen by screen progression, with each new section presenting fresh hazards. The controls are notoriously slippery, making precise movements difficult, and the constant threat of collision keeps the tension high. It feels frantic and unpredictable, a test of reflexes more than strategy.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
