Mega Man: Dr. Wily’s Revenge on Game Boy is classic Blue Bomber action squeezed into a tiny screen—and somehow, it still feels great. You start off blasting through side-scrolling levels packed with weird little robot enemies, jumping over pits and dodging projectiles like always. The twist? Beat one of Wily’s Robot Masters (Ice Man, Electric Man, etc.), and you steal their power. Fire Man’s weapon melts Ice Man’s stage hazards, Cut Man’s blades shred certain enemies—it’s a puzzle figuring out which boss to tackle first.

It’s tough, no lie. The Game Boy’s monochrome visuals make some projectiles blend into the background, and those tiny sprites mean precision jumps feel extra tense. But the password system saves you from restarting completely, which is a mercy. By the time you reach Wily’s Space Node, you’ll either be a master or ready to throw your Game Boy across the room. Either way, it’s a solid portable version of the formula.
