Mega Man's Soccer came out on the Super Nintendo in 1994, developed and published by Capcom. It was a strange but interesting experiment during the SNES era, taking the familiar blue bomber and his rogue's gallery of Robot Masters and dropping them onto a soccer field instead of a stage full of spikes and pits.

You control Mega Man or one of the many Robot Masters, each with their own unique stats and special shot abilities. The main objective is to score more goals than the opposing team, which is made up of other classic Mega Man enemies. Signature mechanics include charging your shot to turn the ball into a powerful energy blast and using slide tackles to dispossess opponents, often with exaggerated, chaotic results. The pacing is fast and frantic, with the ball frequently ricocheting around the field at high speeds, and the difficulty can spike sharply against later teams. It feels less like a simulation and more like a chaotic brawl where someone brought a ball.
