Game Overview

I first played MiG-29 Fulcrum back in 1990, a release from Novalogic for MS-DOS. It was one of those early flight sims that tried to capture the feel of jet combat without the complexity of later titles. For its time, it fit right in with the era's pixelated graphics and straightforward design, offering a taste of aerial combat on home computers.

You pilot a MiG-29 fighter, tasked with completing missions that involve air-to-air dogfights and ground attacks. The game uses a first-person cockpit view, and you manage radar locks, fire missiles, and maneuver to evade enemy fire. Missions are linear and often tense, with a difficulty that spikes quickly if you lose focus. The feeling of lining up a shot and watching an enemy jet explode never gets old, even with the simple graphics. It's a raw, uncomplicated kind of fun that makes you appreciate the basics of flight simulation.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
