I remember picking up Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie for the Sega Genesis back in 1995. It was published by Bandai, and like a lot of licensed games from that era, it tried to bring the movie's action right into your living room. The graphics were colorful and the sprites were decently sized, which was pretty standard for a beat 'em up on the system at the time.

You control one of the five Power Rangers, each with their own basic attacks and a special move that uses up energy. The main goal is to fight through waves of Putty Patrollers and other enemies, screen by screen, until you reach a boss. You can pick up power-ups to restore health or boost your attack, and occasionally the game shifts into a first-person perspective for a targeting mini-game. The pacing is fast and the difficulty can spike, especially during some of the later levels. It feels like a straightforward, button-mashing arcade experience that relies heavily on the license for its appeal.
