I picked up Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie for Game Boy back in 1995, a time when licensed games were everywhere and Bandai was putting out a lot of them. It was one of those portable tie-ins you'd play after seeing the film, hoping it captured some of that action.

You control one of the five Rangers, each with their own attack style, and move screen by screen through side-scrolling levels fighting Putties and other enemies. The main goal is to defeat Ivan Ooze, and along the way you can find power-ups that let you switch Rangers on the fly, which helps in tight spots. The combat is straightforward but the controls feel a bit stiff, and some sections are surprisingly tough. It's a simple, sometimes frustrating game that still brings back that 90s Saturday morning vibe.
