Game Overview

Mind Force came out for the Amiga in 1989, developed by Discovery Software and published by MicroIllusions. It was one of those late 80s games that tried to blend action with puzzle solving, standing out with its unique mechanics rather than flashy graphics or a big name behind it.

You control a small character navigating a series of single screen mazes, using telekinesis to push and pull blocks, bombs, and other objects to clear a path or defeat enemies. The main goal is to find and collect all the keys in each level to unlock the exit, while avoiding hazards and uncovering hidden warp zones or bonus areas. The pacing is deliberate, almost methodical; you have to think about each move because mistakes are costly and the difficulty ramps up quickly. Playing it feels like a constant, satisfying tug of war between your mind and the maze.
