Play Missile Defense 3-D (USA, Europe) Online
You frantically track missiles in eerie 3D as cities blink below—that split-second delay before impact makes your stomach drop every time. The Master System’s chunky graphics somehow make the panic feel real.

Missile Defense 3-D came out for the Sega Master System in 1987, developed and published by Sega. It was one of the early attempts at a 3D-style game on the platform, using wireframe graphics to simulate depth and perspective. At the time, it stood out for its stark, minimalist presentation compared to the more colorful and sprite-heavy games typical of the system.
You control a crosshair, moving it across the screen to target incoming missiles before they strike one of the cities below. Your main objective is to protect a set of cities from being destroyed by waves of missiles; each wave increases in speed and number, demanding quicker reflexes. Signature mechanics include the use of a limited supply of anti-missiles, which must be replenished by catching supply pods that occasionally drop from the top of the screen, and the need to prioritize targets as multiple missiles approach at once. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty ramps up sharply after the first few waves. It feels tense and urgent, especially when cities start blinking to signal an imminent hit.
