You've got six tries to crack the computer's color code—those little hint pegs taunt you while your brain scrambles to rearrange purples and greens before time runs out. That "HMM..." message when you're totally wrong? Brutal.

Game Overview

MisterMind is one of those MS-DOS games that somehow makes staring at colored dots feel like a high-stakes heist. You get six attempts to crack the computer's secret code—each guess gives you little black and white pegs as hints, like "you got one color right but in the wrong spot." Sounds simple, but by the third try, you're hunched over the keyboard muttering, "Okay, if purple isn't in position four..."

The graphics are gloriously basic (we're talking CGA colors here), but that just means nothing distracts from the sheer panic of realizing your last guess was completely wrong. I love how the computer occasionally taunts you with a smug "HMM..." when you're way off. Play long enough, and you start seeing color patterns in your sleep.

It's basically the digital version of that pegboard game your math teacher had in the 90s, but with that weird MS-DOS charm where the cursor blinks like it's judging you. Perfect for quick breaks when you want to feel clever—or painfully humbled.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
