Signature mechanics include the ability to pick up weapons during fights, like a hammer or sword, and use them for extra damage; there are also multiple fatalities per character, some requiring close proximity or specific button combinations. The pacing is fast, and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially against the computer in later rounds. It feels chaotic and a little unrefined, but landing a well-timed special move or finishing someone off never gets old.
