Game Overview

Remember when racing games didn’t need hyper-realistic graphics to make your palms sweat? Motocross on MS-DOS nails that old-school vibe—you’re basically wrestling a pixelated bike through dirt tracks that feel way more chaotic than they look. The first time you hit a jump too fast and faceplant into a pile of 16-bit mud, you’ll either laugh or rage-quit (no in-between).

What’s wild is how the AI riders seem to take it personally if you pass them. They’ll nudge you into corners like they’ve got a grudge, and suddenly you’re yelling at a CRT monitor. The controls? Simple enough that you’ll think you’ve mastered them by lap two… until you realize you’ve been braking wrong this whole time. It’s janky in that way only DOS games can be, but somehow that just makes landing a perfect drift even sweeter.

Fair warning: the soundtrack is basically a synth track on loop, so mute it after 20 minutes unless you want it stuck in your head for days. Still, for a game that probably ran on your dad’s computer, it holds up stupidly well.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
