Play Motocross Online
Race through side-scrolling tracks on a dirt bike, jump over obstacles, dodge opponents, and aim for first place in this classic MS-DOS motocross challenge.
Motocross was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a compilation of early titles that captured the rough charm of PC gaming in the 1980s. It was developed by Microïds, a name familiar to those who spent hours with simple, demanding games. This one fit right in with the era's straightforward racers, built on basic graphics and unforgiving physics.
You control a rider on a dirt bike, navigating side-scrolling tracks filled with jumps, bumps, and aggressive computer opponents. The main goal is straightforward: finish the race in first place. Key mechanics include timing your jumps to avoid crashing on landing and managing your speed to handle sharp turns without wiping out. Opponents constantly jostle for position, often nudging you off balance or into obstacles. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty spikes quickly, especially when a mistimed leap sends you tumbling. It feels raw and punishing, a game where every small mistake costs you dearly.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
