I picked up Ms. Pac-Man for the Super Nintendo back in 1996, a Namco release that brought the arcade favorite home with a few tweaks. You control Ms. Pac-Man through a series of maze screens, gobbling dots while avoiding four colorful ghosts. The main goal is to clear each stage by eating every dot, but you also chase after fruit for extra points and temporary power pellets that let you turn the tables on your pursuers. The mazes scroll smoothly, and the pacing is quick, with the ghosts becoming more aggressive as you progress. It feels frantic but satisfying when you slip through a tight spot or clear a board without losing a life.
