Mystic Towers is this weirdly charming MS-DOS dungeon crawler where you play as Baron Baldric, a dude who has to clear out monster-infested towers while managing hunger, thirst, and a health bar that’s always ticking down. The first thing you notice? Everything wants to kill you—monsters, traps, even forgetting to eat. You start with nine lives (thankfully), but between poisoned food, wine that makes you stumble around drunk, and those sneaky monster generators hiding on each floor, they disappear fast.

Each tower has five floors packed with monsters, and you’ve gotta hunt down the generator to stop them from respawning. The keys are hidden somewhere in the mess, so you’re constantly juggling combat, scavenging for food, and chugging water from fountains before your thirst drains your health. Spells help, but the vending machines that sell them break randomly, which is either hilarious or infuriating depending on how desperate you are. And yeah, coins matter—better spells cost more, and sometimes you just gamble on a cheap one because you’re broke.

It’s janky in that old-school way where you either love the chaos or quit after the third time you starve to death. But if you stick with it, there’s something weirdly satisfying about finally clearing a tower without dying to your own drunken missteps.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
