Play NBA All-Star Challenge (Japan) Online
Pick Jordan or Barkley for quick 1-on-1 streetball—stiff dribbles at first, but nailing that awkward shot timing feels so good when you swish it. Boom-shakalaka.

NBA All-Star Challenge was released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1994, developed by Sculptured Software and published by Nintendo. It arrived during a period when sports games were rapidly evolving on the console, offering a more arcade-like alternative to the growing simulation trend.
You control either Michael Jordan or Charles Barkley in a one-on-one basketball match on a stylized street court. The main objective is to outscore your opponent within the time limit, relying on a simple control scheme for dribbling, shooting, and stealing the ball. Signature mechanics include a somewhat stiff dribbling animation that requires precise timing to change direction, and a unique shooting system where you must release the button at the peak of your jump for the best chance to score. The pacing is fast and the difficulty can feel uneven, especially against the computer's defensive reactions. It feels satisfying to finally get the timing down and sink a long shot just as the buzzer sounds.
