Play Newman-Haas IndyCar Racing featuring Nigel Mansell (Europe) Online
You wrestle with the wheel on tight street circuits, feeling the car squirm when you push too hard—just like Mansell did back in ‘93. The handling’s got that sweet spot between arcade slide and real weight.

Game Overview
If you've ever wanted to relive the chaos of early '90s IndyCar racing—complete with Nigel Mansell’s legendary crossover from F1—this SNES game nails it. The first thing you’ll notice is how weirdly satisfying the handling feels: not too stiff like a hardcore sim, but not so loose that you’re drifting through every turn. It’s that perfect middle ground where you can actually feel the difference between pushing too hard on an oval or nailing the braking point on a street circuit.
And yeah, the graphics are pure 16-bit nostalgia, but there’s something about the way the cars slide just a little when you over-cook a corner that makes it weirdly immersive. The inclusion of Mansell is a nice touch, especially knowing he actually dominated that season in real life. My only gripe? Some of the AI drivers have a vendetta against you and love to pit maneuver you into the wall. But hey, that just makes crossing the finish line even sweeter.
Definitely one of the better racing games the SNES had to offer—if you can handle the occasional unfair spinout.
