Ninja Five-O (or Ninja Cop, depending on where you live) is one of those GBA gems that somehow slipped under the radar. You play as a ninja with a grappling hook—which already sounds awesome—but the real magic is how fluid the movement feels. Swinging between buildings, slicing enemies mid-air, and rescuing hostages before they panic adds this great tension to every level.
It’s not just mindless slashing, either. The levels are designed like little puzzles where you’ve gotta time your swings right or risk getting shot to pieces. And yeah, it gets tough—some of those later missions had me retrying way more than I’d like to admit. But nailing a perfect run where you zip through without alerting anyone? So satisfying.
Shame it didn’t get more love back in the day. If you’re into tight action-platformers, this one’s still worth digging up.
