Game Overview

Ninja Gaiden II on MS-DOS is the kind of game that makes you question your reflexes—in the best way possible. You’re Ryu Hayabusa again, flipping off walls, slashing through enemies, and occasionally getting wrecked by some cheap hits (because this game doesn’t care about your feelings). The dark sword gimmick adds a fun twist, letting you summon shadow clones, which sounds cool until you realize they’re just as fragile as you are.

The cutscenes still have that grainy, overdramatic charm—like someone spliced a B-movie into your ninja simulator. And yeah, the MS-DOS version feels a little rougher around the edges compared to the NES original, but there’s something weirdly satisfying about its jank. Just don’t expect any mercy—this game expects you to earn every checkpoint. If you’ve got nostalgia for pixel-perfect jumps and enemies that spawn exactly where you’re about to land, this is your kind of pain.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
