Up to four players—human or AI-controlled—vie for dominance by buying, selling, and exploiting oilfields across the globe. Players can pursue different objectives, from short-term market leadership to complete industry monopoly, using ruthless tactics like sabotaging rival rigs, stealing storage tanks, or hiring private investigators to uncover (or cover up) corporate espionage. While primarily a strategy game, it incorporates brief action sequences for drilling, pipeline construction, and firefighting, adding a layer of hands-on tension to the economic maneuvering.
