Play Oil Imperium Online
Start as a small-time oil driller, then bribe, sabotage, and outbid rivals to dominate the market—just don’t cry when your rig mysteriously explodes.

Oil Imperium came out in 1989 for MS-DOS, published by Rainbow Arts. It was one of those business strategy games that felt right at home on the platform, where you managed resources and competed against AI opponents in a race to control the oil market. The graphics were simple but functional, and it demanded a lot of careful planning and patience.
You play as an oil tycoon starting with a single rig, and your goal is to bankrupt your rivals by controlling oil fields and driving up prices. Key mechanics include bidding on land leases, placing drilling rigs, and using underhanded tactics like bribing officials or sabotaging competitors' equipment. The game moves at a deliberate pace, with sudden events like oil spills or rig failures keeping you on your toes. It feels tense and calculated, like a high stakes poker game where every decision can wipe you out or make you rich.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
