Game Overview
Okay, so Pac-in-Time is that weird SNES game where Pac-Man suddenly has to platform his way through history instead of just eating dots. You start in this medieval castle—no maze, just jumps and ladders—and within minutes you're bouncing on pirate ship sails or dodging robots in the future. It shouldn't work, but somehow it does.
The ghosts are still here, but now they're dressed like knights or astronauts. And yeah, Pac-Man gets a sword at one point (look, just go with it). The controls take a second to adjust—he's heavier than you'd expect—but the levels have this sneaky puzzle-like flow where you're flipping switches or timing jumps between moving platforms. That SNES soundtrack slaps, too.
It's janky in that 90s beta way, but there's something oddly satisfying about watching Pac-Man struggle with a trampoline in ancient Egypt. Definitely not what you'd expect from the guy who usually just runs in circles.
