Game Overview

I remember playing Pacboy & Shooting Star on the Amiga back in 1985. It was one of those early titles that made you appreciate what the system could do, even if it wasn't a big name release. The game was developed by a small team, and it had that experimental feel a lot of Amiga games had at the time, mixing familiar ideas with new twists.

You control two characters, Pacboy and Shooting Star, switching between them as needed. Pacboy moves through mazes, collecting pellets while avoiding enemies, much like the classic arcade game. Shooting Star, on the other hand, flies around the same screen and shoots enemies to clear a path or protect Pacboy. The mazes shift and change as you progress, and you can pick up power-ups like speed boosts or temporary invincibility. The pace is fast, and the difficulty ramps up quickly, keeping you on your toes as you juggle both roles. It feels frantic but satisfying when you manage to coordinate both characters to clear a stage.
