Play Pacdoom Online
Pac-Man’s dot-munching panic meets Wolfenstein’s gritty corridors—those blocky ghosts somehow make dodging feel fresh again. Same frantic chases, just with ‘90s FPS jank and pixelated dogs in the mix.
I picked up Pacdoom a while back, part of that MS-DOS Classic Games collection from 2010 by Acord Games. It’s one of those fan-made mashups that feels very much of its time, blending two very different styles into something that’s rough around the edges but oddly compelling. If you remember playing DOS games in the ‘90s, this fits right in with that experimental, homebrew spirit.
You control Pac-Man from a first-person perspective, navigating maze-like levels while avoiding or outsmarting ghosts. The goal is to clear each stage by collecting all the dots, but the twist is the combat; you can fight back using a simple weapon, turning the usual flight into occasional confrontation. The pacing is tense, with tight corridors limiting your movement and the ghosts becoming more aggressive as you progress. It feels clunky in that classic DOS way, but there’s a real thrill in outmaneuvering enemies in such a familiar yet foreign setting.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
