Paratrooper II came out in 1982 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Greg Kuperberg. It was a straightforward arcade-style shooter for its time, fitting right in with the kind of quick, skill-based games people played on early PCs. There wasn't a lot of flash to it, just a clear objective and a screen full of targets.
You control a stationary gun turret at the bottom of the screen, tasked with shooting paratroopers before they land. They descend in formation, zigzagging unpredictably and gradually speeding up as you thin their ranks. Some of them even fire back at you, adding pressure to an already frantic situation. The game gets intensely difficult quickly, demanding sharp reflexes and precise aim. It feels like a constant, tense race against a descending army.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
