Game Overview

Pegasus 5 in 1 (Unl) is an unlicensed multicart for the Nintendo Entertainment System, released without official Nintendo approval. It bundles five separate games, all of which appear to be low-budget or bootleg titles, typical of the unlicensed and often region-specific software that circulated outside mainstream channels during the NES era. The cart itself is a physical artifact from a time when the console's library was vast and not always curated.

You control different characters across the five games, which include platformers, a shooter, and a racing game. The main objective changes with each title, but generally involves reaching an endpoint or surviving enemy waves. Signature mechanics range from awkward, floaty jumps in the platforming sections to hit detection that frequently fails in the shooter, making bullets seem to pass through foes. The racing game moves at a sluggish, almost unplayable pace. Despite the pervasive jank, there's a strange charm to pushing through the obvious flaws; playing it feels like digging through a box of forgotten toys and finding something wonderfully broken.
