Pedal through pixelated Alps in this brutal '90s cycling sim—tap keys like mad to keep pace as your stamina bar flickers and those blocky rivals leave you in the dust.

Perico Delgado Maillot Amarillo came out in 1990 for MS-DOS, developed by Topo Soft. It was part of that wave of European sports games that tried to capture a specific feel, in this case the grueling three-week Tour de France, on hardware that was still pretty limited. You don't get a lot of frills, just the road ahead and your own fading energy.
You control the cyclist Perico Delgado, a real-life Spanish champion, and the goal is to win stages and ultimately the overall race. The core of the game is managing your stamina, which drains quickly if you push too hard on the pedals or try to break away from the pack. You have to constantly watch your rivals and decide when to attack or conserve energy, especially on the punishing mountain climbs that can shatter the peloton. The pacing is relentless, and a single mistake in a descent or a poorly timed sprint can ruin hours of effort. It feels like a constant, exhausting battle against your own limits as much as the other riders.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
