Game Overview
Pikachu Bros (Mario Bros Hack) is exactly what it sounds like—a reskin of the classic NES game, but with two Pikachus instead of Mario and Luigi. The sprites are rough but charming, like someone just slapped yellow pixels over the original characters and called it a day.
You still run through the same pipes and stomp on the same enemies, only now they’re replaced with Pokémon-themed sprites. The co-op feels janky, like the game wasn’t really built for two players, but there’s something funny about watching two Pikachus awkwardly bump into each other while trying to climb ladders.
It’s not deep, but if you’ve played the original to death, this weird little hack at least gives you a reason to revisit it. Just don’t expect anything polished.
