Game Overview

Pinky and the Brain: The Masterplan came out for the Game Boy Advance in 2002, developed by Warthog and published by Ignition Entertainment. It was one of those licensed platformers that felt right at home on the GBA, a system packed with cartoon adaptations and straightforward action games. You don't see many titles based on Animaniacs spin-offs these days, but back then it fit right in.

You control both Pinky and the Brain, switching between them to solve puzzles and get through each stage. Brain handles the technical stuff; he can hack terminals, disable security systems, and use his intellect to manipulate the environment. Pinky is all about chaos; he crawls through vents, distracts guards with nonsensical antics, and accesses areas too small for his partner. The goal is always the same: take over the world, one poorly guarded laboratory at a time. The levels are built around this duo dynamic, forcing you to think about which mouse to use and when. It's not a particularly hard game, but some puzzles require a little patience as you figure out the correct order of operations. Playing it feels like directing a cartoon heist where the plans are ridiculous and everything could fall apart at any second.
