Play Pinocchio on Snes Online
You control a stiff-legged Pinocchio, doing weird twist-kicks at foxes and hopping through janky platforming levels that vaguely follow the movie. That awkward jump physics and tinny soundtrack somehow make it weirdly endearing.

Pinocchio on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System came out in 1996, published by Virgin Interactive. It was one of those later SNES releases that felt a bit out of step with the platform's prime, a licensed game based on the Disney film that didn't quite capture the magic of its source material. You guide Pinocchio through a series of side-scrolling levels that loosely follow the movie's plot, from Geppetto's workshop to Pleasure Island and eventually the belly of Monstro the whale.
You control Pinocchio directly, navigating platforms and fighting off enemies like Honest John and Gideon with a somewhat clumsy kicking attack. The main goal is simply to progress screen by screen, occasionally finding hidden items or extra lives tucked away in barrels and chests. The platforming can feel stiff and imprecise, with awkward jump arcs that make some sections more frustrating than fun. Despite its clunky mechanics and occasionally cheap enemy placements, there's a strange, earnest charm to moving through its interpretation of the story. It feels like playing through a slightly off-model storybook.
