Pit Fighter came out on the Super Nintendo in 1991, a port of the arcade game by Atari Games. It was part of that early wave of SNES releases trying to bring the arcade experience home, with digitized sprites that were a big deal at the time. You pick one of three fighters and battle through a series of one-on-one matches in different arenas. The main goal is to win each fight and eventually become the champion.
