Play Pitstop II Online
Race against a friend, manage your fuel and tires, and time your pit stops perfectly to outlast your opponent in this classic MS-DOS racing game from 1984.
Pitstop II came out in 1984 from Epyx, a solid entry in the MS-DOS racing scene when split-screen competition was still a novelty. It didn't try to be a flashy simulation; it was a straightforward, two-player focused game that understood the appeal of direct rivalry on a shared keyboard.
You control a Formula One style car, managing your fuel load and tire wear across a demanding race. The main objective is to outlast your opponent, but the real challenge is timing your pit stops perfectly. You manually control your pit crew, selecting which tires to change and how much fuel to add, all while the clock is ticking. The pacing is tense, the difficulty unforgiving; a single miscalculation can leave you stranded or hopelessly behind. It feels like a high-speed chess match where every decision carries immediate weight.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
