I remember picking up Plan 9 From Outer Space for MS-DOS back in 1992, part of that Konami Classic Games collection. It was a strange time for PC gaming, full of experimental titles based on movies, and this one definitely fit right in. The game took its inspiration from the famously low-budget sci-fi film, and it didn't try to hide its B-movie roots.

You control a detective tasked with recovering stolen reels of the film, navigating through a series of disjointed, surreal environments. The gameplay involves screen-by-screen exploration, interacting with odd characters and objects to solve puzzles that often feel as nonsensical as the movie's plot. Combat is minimal, mostly relying on evasion or simple item use rather than direct confrontation. The pacing is deliberately slow and confusing, with a high difficulty curve that comes from obscure logic rather than skill. Playing it feels like wandering through someone else's bizarre dream, where the only constant is the lingering sense that you're never quite sure what you're supposed to do next.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
