Game Overview

Pocket Color Billiards (Japan) is one of those Game Boy Color games that somehow nails the feel of real pool despite the tiny screen. You line up shots with the D-pad, adjust power with a simple meter, and—when you get it just right—there’s this tiny, satisfying plink as the ball drops. No fancy tricks, just solid physics and clean 2D graphics that somehow make the green felt and colored balls pop.

I wasn’t expecting much at first, but after a few rounds, I kept sneaking in "just one more game." The controls are snappy, and even though it’s from the late ‘90s, it holds up better than some mobile pool games today. Perfect for bus rides or waiting in line—assuming you still have a Game Boy handy. It’s basically a pocket-sized pool hall with zero pretenses.
