Play Pocket Puyo Puyo 4 Online

Stack colorful blobs, watch them pop in chain reactions, and try not to panic when your opponent dumps a pile of junk blocks on your screen. Those little GBC sprites somehow make trash-talking magical.

Game Overview

Pocket Puyo Puyo 4 came out for the Game Boy Color in 2000, developed by Compile and published by Sega. It was one of those late-era GBC puzzle games that felt right at home on the handheld, simple in concept but with enough depth to keep you coming back during commutes or between classes.

You control a cursor to drop pairs of colored puyos, aiming to group four or more of the same color to clear them and send nuisance puyos to your opponent's screen. The main objective is to outlast your rival by building large chain reactions that overwhelm them. Signature mechanics include the All Clear bonus, which rewards you for clearing the entire board at once, and the ability to counter garbage puyos with well-timed chains. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty ramps up noticeably against CPU opponents. It feels satisfying to set off a big combo and watch your opponent's field fill with obstacles.
