Boot it up, and within seconds you're already white-knuckling the keyboard as your little rocket car fishtails around hairpin turns. The tracks are ridiculously narrow, half the time you're bouncing off walls or flipping upside down, and somehow that's the fun part.
It's got that perfect balance of chaos and control—mess up a turn, and you'll spin out in a pixelated fireball, but nail the throttle just right and you'll barely scrape past opponents. The split-screen mode was my go-to for trash-talking my brother, though the AI racers could get weirdly aggressive too. No fancy power-ups or upgrades, just pure racing where the only thing between you and last place was how well you handled those janky little physics.
Honestly, it's one of those games where the simplicity works in its favor. You'll either love the sheer speed of it or rage-quit after the third time you accidentally reverse into a pit. No in-between.
