Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time is one of those DS games that just sticks with you. You start off as a human turned into a Pokémon—no trainer, no safety net—just you and your partner wandering through ever-changing dungeons. The first time I played, I picked Treecko without thinking much about it, and suddenly I was stuck with this weirdly endearing little gecko who wouldn’t stop talking about becoming an exploration team legend.
The dungeons are the real star here. Every floor is randomly generated, so you never know if you’ll stumble into a room full of items or get ambushed by a pack of angry Zubats. And yeah, you’ll lose progress when you faint—it’s brutal but weirdly fair. The story starts slow, but give it a few hours, and it hits you with twists that actually make you care about this weird Pokémon world. If you like dungeon crawlers with personality, this one’s worth digging up.
